About Closest Call
A poker-style game played with dice. Free, in your browser, with leaderboards and daily tournaments, and no email needed.
What it is
Closest Call is a free online multiplayer dice poker game for up to 9 players. Each player secretly picks a number from 15 to 90, called a Mark. Fifteen dice are then rolled five at a time, with a round of betting before the first roll and after each roll. When the last dice land, the highest Mark that is at or under the total wins the pot.
It plays like a poker night: blinds, checking, raising, bluffing, folding and going all-in. But there are no cards and no hand rankings to memorize. If you can add up dice, you can play.
What makes it different
- Poker betting without the cards. You bet, raise, bluff and fold as in poker, but there are no hand rankings to learn. Everything comes down to one secret number and fifteen dice.
- Free, with nothing to buy. There are no purchases and no ads. Chips are play chips with no cash value.
- No personal information. You choose a handle, and a password only if you want one. We do not ask for an email address, phone number or real name.
- Play in seconds. It runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to download or install.
- A game is always running. Sit n Play tables fill open seats with house bots, so you can play at any hour.
- Public leaderboards. Six boards rank the top earners, tournament winners, final tables, top 5 finishes, hands won and biggest pots, for each six-week season and for all time. See the leaderboard.
- Daily tournaments. The Daily Championship runs at 8:00 PM Eastern, Monday to Friday, with the Saturday Major at the same time on Saturday. 9-player tournaments start the moment nine players join.
- Private tables for friends. Start a table, send the link, and play together.
- Fair dice. Every die is rolled by the server, and each Mark stays hidden until the showdown.
Who it is for
Closest Call is for adults aged 18 and over who enjoy poker, dice games, or a game night with friends, and who want something quick to learn and free to play. It is entertainment only. No real money is involved at any point.
